Chalk Hill Assembly Missions Trip

to Managua, Nicaragua 

July 18-25, 2009

The Chalk Hill Assembly of God sent a team of 19 people to complete a much needed remodel of a school. In addtion, they conducted a Children's Cruisade for the children of Managua. The following is a list of projects the missions team worked on:

  1. Built a water tower for clean drinking water for the school
  2. Installed plumbing for the school
  3. Completed electrical work to install fans and lights for the classrooms
  4. Installed windows and doors in the school (there were none)
  5. Completed masonary work to finish walls
  6. Painted inside classrooms
  7. Refinished and repaired desks
  8. Teamed with Convoy of Hope to distribute food to over 400 needy families
  9. Preached in services and on the radio

Over 160 people were saved during the 9 day mission!

Missionaries are partnering with national believers to reach the lost and plant churches in cities, small villages and remote islands.

The Importance of World Missions in 2012

Melvin Hodges, a twentieth century AGWM missiologist said, “The Holy Spirit is a missionary Spirit.”

That missionary Holy Spirit is still leading and even driving our mission. For generations of Assemblies of God members, adherents, children, youth, executive and lead pastors, evangelists, teachers, and missionaries, the modern twentieth century outpouring of the Holy Spirit has not been a historical reality as much as it has been an experiential reality.
